Dr. Sheryl Cowart Moss is a Clinical Associate Professor at Georgia State University, where she directs the Advanced Programs (Tier II and EdD) in Educational Leadership. In March 2019, she received the Outstanding Faculty Service to the Profession award from the College of Education and Development at Georgia State for her national work to promote inclusive leadership. Dr. Cowart Moss is President of the Council of Professors of Instructional Supervision (COPIS), and an Implementation Specialist for the Council for Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and the CEEDAR Center. As part of this work, Dr. Cowart Moss co-leads a national topical action group whose mission is to infuse inclusive leadership practices into leadership preparation programs across the country. Dr. Cowart Moss is also President of the Georgia Educational Leadership Faculty Association (GELFA) and a member of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association for Educational Leaders (GAEL). She received the Exemplary Service Award from GAEL in January 2018.
