Cyndy Saxon has over 36 years as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, directors of professional learning, elementary instruction, school improvement, and secondary instruction at the district level. Once joining the Georgia Department of Education she continued to work as a specialist and director before accepting the role of associate superintendent. Cyndy also served as an adjunct professor at University of West Georgia and recently began the Pre-kindergarten through 20 Collaborative (P-20) in the state Georgia to ensure every student had an effective teacher. She continues her work by leading the P-20 Initiative and developing grass roots efforts to Grow Your Own Teachers in Georgia.
