Sabrina Ghiz-Zbir was raised and educated in Prince George's County, Maryland. She has served the Langley Park Community in Prince George’s since 1989 as an educator. Sabrina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Marshall University and Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College. She has taught 1st grade, Multiage classes K-3, and 6th grade. She has served as a Math Resource, Reading Resource and a Testing Coordinator and participated in the writing of the first grade math curriculum. For the past 7 years, Mrs. Ghiz-Zbir has facilitated Parent and Family Engagement activities to Title I families and communities. Title I Department. Sabrina believes that a parent is a child’s first teacher and providing opportunities to bridge the home-school partnership makes her job even more rewarding.
