Malissa Ocean is a 19 year veteran educator in the Cobb County School District which is the 2nd largest school district in Georgia. She has a passion for building positive parent teacher relationships. While in the classroom Malissa worked closely with parents to not only improve student performance, but attendance and behavior as well. As an academic coach, her focus is parent engagement. She works with teachers to help build relationships with parents and increase parent involvement and student success. Her commitment to building relationships with parents has helped create a positive school climate for parents, teachers and students.
