Kelly has experience leading transformational climate change within schools both as an SEL Lead and Administrator, and as a District-Wide SEL Specialist on the "Supportive Schools Team" in Chicago Public Schools' Office of Social Emotional Learning. In addition to the direct training, consultation, and coaching she provides to principals, administrators, teachers, and staff across the district, she is the SEL team lead for Chicago Public Schools' Curriculum Equity Initiative, ensuring SEL is integrated with academic experiences, she is a Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor and leads this work across the district, and is on the district's WSCC Steering Committee (Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child). She's also supported climate team development using CASEL's Supportive Schools Model.
