Jess Caron currently works as Title I Specialist and ESEA Regional Program Manager for the Maine Department of Education. At the MDOE, Jess oversees the Title I Summer Reallocation LEA grant through our new online grant management system, Grants4ME. Before working for the MDOE, Jess was a 7th/8th grade Special Education Inclusion Teacher and taught Language Arts at the Landmark School, a private high school for students with Language-Based Learning Disabilities (LBLDs). She also taught educators about how to best support students with LBLDs in courses through Landmark Outreach and Southern New Hampshire University. Jess has spoken at two conferences and co-wrote a chapter in the book Catalyzing the Field: Second Person Approaches to Contemplative Learning with Professor Katie Byrnes. Jess earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Teaching at Bowdoin College and received her Maine State Teaching Certification in 2014.

Jenny Darigan serves as the district liaison at Lewiston Public Schools for all state and federal communications for programs, including ESEA, Gifted and Talented, McKinney-Vento, and most recently all COVID Federal Emergency Relief Programs. Lewiston is one of the largest and most diverse school districts in Maine. In her 19 years of experience as a Maine educator, Jenny Darigan has served Maine students and teachers in a variety of PreK-12 settings. She has worked as a classroom teacher, interventionist, English language learner teacher, English language learner coordinator, and for the last 5 years serving as the District Federal Programs Coordinator for the Lewiston Public School District. Jenny draws from her experience to provide ongoing support for district and school improvement work with the ultimate goal of fostering connections between students and school staff, providing structured school experiences, and providing academic enrichment and social-emotional learning activities for all students. She facilitates program planning, fund allocation, budget, evaluation, and reporting with school and district leaders to ensure the effectiveness of programming and compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Dr. Monique Sullivan is an experienced educator with over 20 years in public education as both a classroom teacher and school administrator spanning grades Pk-12, including urban and rural settings. Currently, she serves as the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Coordinator for the Maine Department of Education where she oversees Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) and Homeless Children and Youth (HCY) funds. Prior roles at the Maine DOE include Title I Program Coordinator, Constituent and Legislative Specialist, and ESEA Regional Manager.
