Dr. Jeannine Metzger has been in public and tribal education for over 29 years. She has a teaching career spanning over 18 years on the Pine Ridge Reservation, during that time she became a National Board certified teacher. She received her Master's in Education in 2013 and has been a principal on both the Pine Ridge Reservation and is now located on the Lake Traverse Reservation for the last nine years. Jeannine has mentored beginning teachers in the state of South Dakota under the WoLakota Project and also with the Wookiya Project.
