This workshop will include research-based, practical techniques that boost language acquisition and literacy development for students who have missed significant amounts of formal education. Strategies will be shared that can be implemented immediately. Participants will consider current research around growth mindset and practical classroom strategies. These techniques are appropriate for face-to-face or online learning. Video testimony by students and educators will be shared.
