Students and teachers perceptions on student Social Emotional Learning (SEL) changed how the Ogden School District approached our work. In this workshop you will learn how survey data was collected and analyzed. You will see how Ogden identified students needing supports who were not showing up in other data. You will learn how teacher perception and student perception differed and how this directed our professional development and coaching. During this workshop you will be directed to think through how SEL surveys can impact your work, what other components you need in place to begin collection, the best way to collect this data, and how to use them to better meet student’s needs. Each participant will leave with a simple action plan for immediate and next steps in their setting.
