Join us on a journey from speaking, to reading, to writing as we explore the steps of early literacy. This session will introduce you to early literacy strategies and assessments that will help you bring your instruction into alignment with the latest research and most effective practices. We are excited to share the prescribed instructional changes and the research rationale that will support you in meeting the diverse needs within your classroom. We will provide tips you can use with English Language Learners and strategies for differentiating instruction. In this session, you will learn about the continuum of letter knowledge and the progression of phonemic awareness. We will share the best instruction leading to enhanced alphabetic knowledge and ultimately fluency. You will build an understanding of the learning partners of phonics and sight words as well as decoding and encoding. Come update your instructional toolbox for the season of NOW!
