Changing School Culture by Celebrating Diverse Students and Staff

Throughout the country, schools are constantly looking for answers regarding how to recruit and retain minority educators that look like the students they serve, while also building an accepting, welcoming school community that both students and teachers from all backgrounds grow and thrive in. Although this will always be a challenge in diverse communities, developing a school community that welcomes diversity is possible with an intentional plan. The Academy for Leadership at Millcreek has developed a sustainable system for celebrating diversity for both students and staff alike.

Laura McCullough

Laura McCullough is the Instructional Coach at TALME. She stays up-to-date on new learning technologies and trends in the education community and is skilled in identifying learning programs that can benefit students with an expertise in curriculum planning and development.
Greg Ross

Dr. Ross is a national speaker on creating a positive school culture and also culturally responsive teaching and learning. He also is asked to speak on meeting the needs of diverse populations in education and recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce. Lastly, Dr. Ross has presented on the impacted of leadership in public education.
