Rick Messer
Assistant Superintendent, Secondary Education
San Juan Unified School District
Rick Messer started his teaching career as a high school Social Studies teacher for 12 years between Elk Grove Unified and Santa Barbara HS district. He then pivoted his career and bcame a high school administrator starting in Elk Grove, then moving to San Juan Unified School District, where he has been the Secondary Assistant Superintendent for the last eight years. Messer graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelors of Arts in History and received a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from the University of LaVerne.
