Curtis Hutchison

Curtis Hutchison has 12 years of experience in education and is currently serving as the Director of Non-Public Services in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. In previous roles, Curtis served as a Curriculum Instructional Specialist and Intervention Specialist for students with Mild/Moderate disabilities. Curtis is passionate about engaging students and giving them the tools, they need to not only succeed in our new global society but to reshape the world into a more joyful, beautiful, and compassionate place. Curtis enjoys traveling, animals and being outdoors, he is currently pursuing his doctorate in Urban Education investigating relationships between nature, sustainability, and agricultural programs and their student outcomes. One of his favorite quotes is by author Richard Louv, "school isn't supposed to be a polite form of incarceration, but a portal to the wider world."
