This session will explore a unique multi-tiered systems of support for maximizing the instructional day while increasing access for all students to customized instructional supports that fosters whole school improvement. Participants will uncover how elementary A & B day schedules can be utilized to elevate students’ learning and close achievement gaps. The model that will be shared positively impacts instruction, and student growth and achievement. The instructional model is an all-math day and all-ELA day schedule designed to allow teachers opportunities to provide in-depth cohesive instruction with embedded time for re-teaching, flexible grouping, blended learning, increased writing opportunities, and enrichment within each day. Planning tools and formative data collection options will be shared. Participants will be exposed to strategies for daily regrouping, re-teaching, acceleration and creating opportunities for extended writing practice.
