This presentation will highlight how educators can use the U.S. Census Bureau’s Statistics in Schools (SIS) program to teach about the upcoming 2020 Census. The decennial census happens once every ten years and is the largest peacetime civic engagement undertaken by our country. Participants will leave the session equipped with information on how they can incorporate resources offered by the SIS program into their classroom and how the Statistics in Schools program can help increase awareness of the census in communities to help ensure a complete count of all children. Participants will also receive a live demo of the SIS website.
