How can funding be maximized to meet the complex needs of students and the community? This interactive presentation discusses the challenges and innovative strategies used by an elementary school on increasing and maintaining family engagement and student outcomes through its programs, including 21st CLCC after school and summer program, as well as building strategic sustainable partnerships with community organizations and families in of the city's highest poverty and crime areas.

Mr. Livingston manages the 21st CLCC aftershcool and summer programs as well as all family engagement activities at the school. Areas of expertise include: Collaborating with community members, school Principal, faculty and participating public/private agencies in support of students and their families. Plan and facilitate community school offerings for students, parents, and community members, such as workshops, family night activities, operate Parent Resource Center, and represent the project in community events. Develop leadership and team building. Develop partnerships, coordinate and advise partners and facilitate a school advisory board of the community school. Key partnerships include: City of Wilmington City Council, Grace United Methodist Church, Young Conaway Stargatt &Taylor, LLP, Food Bank Of Delaware, Parent Information Center, Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, Parents As Teachers, City of Wilmington Police Dept, US Attorney General’s Office (City of Wilmington), Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, C.H.A.N.C.E Foundation, BVD Barber Shop, Big Brother, Big Sister of Delaware, Richards, Layton & Finger, LLP, United Way of Delaware, Brandywine Counseling, Nemours, The Trophy Shop, DAB Mediation, Global Partners for Father and Families, LLC, Betty’s Bounces, DJ Mike Nite, DAB Mediation, & Christiana Skating Center. He is also co-founder of the Me and My Dad Got Game 2 on 2 Basketball Tournament-Fostering healthy relationships between fathers and children.
