Planning for academic rigor is not a blind random shot in the dark. Uncovering the intended use of the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy –Zoned (RBT-Z) will shed light on how to align instructional practices to learning outcomes. Designed to promote intentional, thoughtful, and deliberate instructional planning, this session offers innovative approaches to integrate rigorous learning experiences into daily instruction. In this interactive session, participants will analyze standards for instructional alignment, engage in plotting authentic learning tasks on the RBT-Z, learn practical ways to embed prerequisite skills seamlessly into instruction, and understand how the RBT-Z can be used for administrative walk-throughs, observations, and data collection. Participants will leave this session with resources and materials that facilitate immediate implementation of learned practices.
