In an effort to improve student learning, schools adopt models of tiered supports to respond to classroom assessment data. The cycle of collecting, analyzing and using data in taking next steps for students can be daunting work. In this session, participants will have an opportunity to learn about an integrated and efficient process to support data-driven decision making in their schools in order to improve literacy outcomes for all students. The focus on data meetings will facilitate collaboration around data-driven decision making. Participants will learn about a procedural checklist that will guide the analysis of data and the allocation of resources in elementary schools throughout the course of a school year. This checklist provides guidance in the use of screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring data. The tools shared in this presentation will be universal so that participants may apply the learning and make site based connections immediately in their schools.
