Empowering English Language Learners Using a Multisensory-Phonemic Approach

Participants are invited to attend a professional learning session specifically designed to support English Language Learners in developing foundational literacy skills. This session combines multisensory learning techniques with systematic phonics instruction, with an emphasis on practical, hands-on activities. Educators will explore effective strategies and resources that integrate multisensory-phonemic high-frequency word instruction into structured literacy programs, aimed at English language learners, and students requiring reading intervention. Participants will also learn about an innovative multisensory-phonemic approach to teaching the alphabetic code, enhancing mastery of letter-sound correspondences using mnemonic techniques. In addition, groundbreaking research findings on supporting foundational literacy development will be shared throughout the session.
