This presentation will cover the proposed requirements in the proposed rule under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The proposed rule will define the concept of sex and prohibit certain types of discrimination -- putting State laws and requirements in direct conflict with Federal guidance, in some cases. Attendees will learn the various requirements for districts and schools, conflicts between jurisdictions, and a potential timeline for action and enforcement -- as well as challenges in court.
