If you look across grades do more and more of your students move into the category of behind in math, struggling in math, or believing they are not good in math? Are there students dropping out of high school or graduating without the mathematics needed to increase their opportunities? We have seen that far too many students are not experiencing success in math. We can't just blame the students. There are steps we can take to address this. Let's begin by examining the impact of structures, practices, and policies we have in place, and how we can create new structures and implement effective teaching practices to engage students.
