Ms. Peterson has 16 years of experience specifically focusing on school climate and culture: Developing tools, strategies, and professional learning to create positive climates in schools and departments Analyzing climate survey data to identify areas for enhancing a positive organizational climate Creating and implementing a social-emotional learning comprehensive plan for the school division Designing and delivering professional learning for multiple stakeholders across school division and community Using a strength-based model to work with developing leaders at various levels in Title I schools Utilizing a diagnostics tool across the division to identify strengths and opportunities Building capacity of teams to work effectively in the areas of communication and collaboration

For over 16 years Dr. Watts-Freeman has worked in education. Her work includes special education, social-emotional learning, culturally responsive teaching, and supporting the whole child. For the last 5 years, Dr. Watts-Freeman has worked for Collegiate Academies as a leader on the Student Support Team. In 2020, Dr. Watts-Freeman joined with her brother and other colleges at  My Wright Group LLC as an Educational Consultant.
