If you feel like you emerged from the 2020-21 Pandemic barely holding onto your sanity, much less your creativity, reserve a spot in Dr. Bone's session: "Sending Out an SOS for SEL: Revitalizing Every Lesson With Social Emotional Learning". SEL is possibly the hottest item on the curriculum and instruction menu for 2022 and no wonder. With roots in Trauma Informed Practice, Emotional Intelligence, and Neuroscience, SEL helps teachers to “help learners turn their brains back on” after prolonged trauma and fragmented periods of instruction. In this true working session, participants will review the theoretical base for SEL and then encounter a brand new instructional tool, developed for this session. It is Dr. Bone’s “SEL Matrix” and will provide immediate, simple, yet powerful strategies to infuse SEL into any lesson, any grade level, any time. The session will include time to actually “play with” the matrix and receive guidance from the instructor to make it personal.
