Bryan Thurmond

Bryan Thurmond is a program officer in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, where he works on programs relating to students experiencing homelessness and students in foster care. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Education in 2014, Bryan began his career as a pre-Kindergarten teacher in Prince George’s County Public Schools in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Bryan received a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, a master’s degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University, and a BA in International Business from the University of Georgia.
