Dr. Stephanie Pasley Henry, the Academic Dean of The College of Education at Bethune-Cookman University and a former fifth grade teacher, is recognized internationally for her riveting presentations highlighting her creative strategies for enhancing student achievement. Dr. Pasley Henry’s Title I students were disengaged and intimidated about learning math until she surprised them as she broke out with a song and dance to help them grasp the division concept. Her students were invigorated and engaged from that lesson forward. She is the creator of interactive learning programs (The Math Party: Sing! Dance! Learn! Exercise! and The Reading Party: Phonics! Fitness! FUNdamentals!) . She has presented sessions at schools, colleges, community events, and conferences, internationally, for the past fifteen years. She taught Methods of Mathematics at Barry University, and is a former certified Broward County teacher. She is a certified fitness instructor, and has found that exercise and music invigorates instruction and increases retention levels. Dr. Pasley Henry earned a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum Development and Systemic Change: Youth and Child Studies; a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership; a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
