This presentation will build participant knowledge and skills around focusing on the whole child through a health equity framework. We will share success stories, resources, and engage participants in activities and share health equity best practices to fully engage the audience. The idea of integrating and aligning policies and systems to create supportive school environments has been a strategy for years. Health Equity is having the personal agency and fair access to resources and opportunities needed to achieve the best possible physical, emotional and social well-being. We know many students come to school with disadvantages. We plan to focus on what the participants can do to promote equity among students and become aware of system inequities through the lens of the ten components of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model.
