Utilizing the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to promote IMPLEMENTATION AND GROWTH OF CULTURALLY-RESPONSIVE AND EMOTIONALLY SAFE learning environments. Participants will gain insight on how Houston ISD 7th largest district in the Nation decreased punitive exclusionary discipline practice to increase student academic performance. Participants will explore tools to address inequities in school discipline, implicit biases, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trauma informed Practices to promote positive behavior and healthy relationships.

Roberta Scott leads the work of Social and Emotional Learning in the 7th largest district in the Nation. Additionally, she has presented at national and state conferences on providing an alternative to punitive discipline measure and positive behavior intervention supports for all students.
