In this session, participants will learn how the Office of Federal Programs of a large urban school district (180,000+ students) supports schools in the implementation of authentic, data-driven needs assessments. This process assists schools in identifying strengths, weaknesses, and root cause(s) of identified needs. Additionally, participants will learn how to use data-driven decision making to maximize the use of federal funds — meeting the needs of your school or your program. Participants will also be provided information regarding successful district extended learning opportunities for students. Best practices will be shared on how to create meaningful family engagement opportunities that are linked to student achievement. Finally, you will also learn how to evaluate the use of your federal dollars and determine the impact of those funds on student achievement.
