The Family Engagement Blueprint: Aligning Compliance with Meaningful Collaboration

This presentation offers a clear framework for meeting federal program requirements while strengthening family and community relationships. The Family Engagement Planning Model equips district and school leaders to transform compliance-driven meetings into opportunities for authentic collaboration. From parent advisory meetings and curriculum nights to parent-teacher conferences, these strategies integrate compliance with practices that empower families. By linking engagement efforts with strategies grounded in the science of reading, the model ensures at-home learning supports foundational literacy skills and classroom instruction. When stakeholders at every level feel informed, welcomed, and valued, true input and collaboration can thrive, building lasting program capacity.
