It Takes a Team: Lessons from Schools with Great Outcomes for All Students

Good news: There are typical schools, with real challenges, in imperfect districts, with mere mortal leaders that have managed to achieve outstanding academic results for students from all races/ethnicities, income groups, and language backgrounds. This session will help you understand how teams of leaders work together to make academic success happen for all student groups. The session will emphasize how leadership teams in highly effective schools focus upon and drive improvement on six interrelated issues. You will leave understanding why each of the six issues influences the academic success of your students. The session will also give you actionable ideas (that come directly from successful award-winning schools) for bringing together a critical mass of people so you can address each issue with a high likelihood of success!
