We redesigned family events to increase engagement and created a supportive atmosphere that values stakeholder input. Emphasizing a growth mindset, continuous professional development, and data-informed decision-making, we fostered teamwork and innovation. Our strategic planning has been pivotal, ensuring sustained improvements and a comprehensive learning experience for students. Calie Marquez

Calie Marquez is a fourth grade teacher and robotics coach at Walter Bracken STEAM Academy. She left her previous career to pursue her dream to be an educator. Ms. Marquez is a strong supporter of the importance of a feeling of belonging for all students and staff at Walter Bracken and has been vital in the development and implementation of our 5-year plan of school improvement.

Karen Lopez

Karen Lopez is a third year teacher and graduate of the Clark County School District. She has played a vital role in the professional learning communities at Walter Bracken STEAM Academy and is a strong supporter of purposeful planning for student achievement.
