Patricia is the Group Leader for the Migrant Education Program (MEP) in the Office of Migrant Education (OME).  Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Education in 2010, she taught high school Spanish and Math in Indiana, California, and Louisiana; worked for the Indiana and Texas MEPs; and directed a national consortium grant for migratory secondary aged out-of-school youth. Ms. Meyertholen received a B.A. from Boston College, an M.A. from Purdue University and her Superintendent’s License from Ball State University.
