Erin serves as the CEO of the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators (NAESPA). She holds master’s degrees in teaching and marital and family therapy. She is a credentialed multiple-subject teacher with experience in classroom teaching, and TK-8 administration. She has experience in clinical mental health in medical settings, education, arts, and the criminal justice sector. She is a systems thinker and leader focusing on relationships and equity.

Jason Miller is Executive Director of Elementary, Early Learning, and Federal Programs at the Washington state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. He has worked in education for the past 25 years as a teacher at the elementary, secondary, and postsecondary levels. Over the past 6 years Jason has worked for WA state managing the Title I, Part A and other ESEA programs. He currently oversees the state federal programs monitoring system and has worked closely on the development of Washington’s ESEA Consolidated Grant Application. Jason has served in various capacities on the NAESPA Board for the past 5 years.

Shoua Vang is the Financial Manager for the State of Michigan, Department of Education (MDE), Office of Educational Supports, Financial Unit. Shoua ensures that approximately one billion dollars of state and federal grant funds are effectively administered according to state and federal laws, statutes, and regulations. She works collaboratively with other units such as the Special Populations Unit, which handles populations of students such as English learners, immigrant, migratory, homeless, etc., and the Regional Unit which is responsible for direct LEA and PSA support in order to implement strategic directives for improving funding availability in support of student achievement throughout the state of Michigan. Shoua’s team provides LEAs and PSAs the necessary technical assistance, support, and guidance to assist with planning and budgeting their state and federal funds to ensure effective programming and operational uses, as well as to support the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Model at MDE. Shoua earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and has over eight years of professional financial accounting experience. Shoua enjoys music, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. She currently resides in DeWitt, Michigan with her husband and their dog.
