Amanda Ensor is a content expert and passionate educational leader with 20 years of experience in public education. Currently, Amanda serves as the Title I Family Engagement Specialist for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Amanda has developed and led professional development on topics that greatly impact all stakeholders in education and most importantly, student success. The topics include: Authentic Family and Community Engagement, The “Best” Approach to EL Family Engagement, Boosting Inclusive and Equitable Language in Schools (A Language of Hope), Rethinking the Impact of Poverty in Schools, Diversifying Classroom Libraries, Promoting Gender Equity in Schools, Engaging Fathers/Father Figures in School, and The Impact of Mindfulness in the Classroom (Self-Care for Teachers and Students). She has been a leader at the state and national level as a featured presenter for organizations such as the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium (MAEC), National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), and National Association of Family School and Community Engagement (NAFSCE).
