Danielle Smith serves as Group Leader for the Office of Program and Grantee Support Services, with the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE), in the U.S. Department of Education, Washington, DC.  She coordinates support for technical assistance to OESE grantees and oversees the design and delivery of results-driven, differentiated, and research-informed technical assistance opportunities to all States and U.S. Territories. Ms. Smith leads planning, implementing, and evaluating technical assistance activities to implement federal K-12 education programs and oversees multiple technical assistance programs, including the Comprehensive Centers Program, the Equity Assistance Centers, the State Support Network and other national technical assistance centers. Previously, Ms. Smith served as the Technical Assistance Functional Support Team Lead for the U.S. Department of Education Office of State Support, and the U.S Department of Education’s Reform Support Network. Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and French from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the McCourt School of Public Policy.
