Supervises and evaluates staff and programs within the Learning Support Services Department - Guidance Services, Early Childhood Education, Career and Technical Education, College and Career Readiness, Federal Programs, State Compensatory Education, World Languages, Family Specialists, District Translator, General Education Home Bound, Foster Care, Migrant Student Program and Instructional Materials Allotment, Manages the fourteen District Magnet programs at 10 NEISD schools. Synthesizes and implements State Board of Education and Texas Education Agency rules to ensure compliance with legal policies to include presentations to the School Board, Executive Staff, and Principals. Creates systems and structures to distribute and monitor Federal Grant money - Title I, II, III, IV, State Compensatory Education, and Instructional Materials Allotment totaling approximately $40 million Serves as district liaison for educational community partnerships – Rackspace, Communities in Schools, Advise TX, UTSA Prep, PreK4SA and Family Service, Alamo Colleges, and Trinity University Collaborates and fosters relationships with campus administration, district departments, and the NEISD community to support the mission and vision of NEISD.
