Starting with the Heart: Building Resilience and Well-Being in Educators and Learners

This interactive session presents evidence-based strategies to strengthen educator well-being, prevent burnout, and build resilience—key factors in cultivating communities that support student success. Participants will examine the impact of stress on educator functioning and child development, with a focus on the early childhood window. The Start with the Heart curriculum offers a practical framework for integrating Breathe, Move, and Rest Brain Breaks into daily routines to promote self-regulation, self-awareness, and stress-management skills in learners. Attendees will experience Brain Breaks, explore implementation strategies both for themselves and with learners, and receive free access to curriculum resources and a multilingual video library.
