Effective Recruitment and Retention: Success Stories from School, District, & State Levels

Recruitment and retention of effective teachers does not have to be "something extra" that should schools do. Having an integrated plan to recruit and retain educators overlays with teacher capacity building, parent engagement, and effective use of principal time and resources. Participants will see how principals in a large diverse school district have connected these dots to retain and recruit their workforce. As well, district and state leaders will learn of LEA and SEA initiatives that have supported schools behind-the-scenes in their recruitment and retention efforts.
