Glasscock Elementary School was chosen as an ESEA Distinguished School from Kentucky in 2025 for academic achievement growth. We have a diverse population of students from both rural and city areas. Although more than 70% are economically disadvantaged, we have continued to overcome those challenges by addressing student needs, learning styles, and tiered interventions. Glasscock Elementary provides many opportunities like family game night, painting parties, and the community fall festival throughout the year to connect with our community and families. Over the last three years, we have focused on mastery of standards in every classroom kindergarten through fifth grade and continue to see growth in math, reading, science, and writing. Our presentation will focus on specific things we did to address the needs of our students. We understand that it takes our entire community working together for student success and our story proves it.
