Invitation: National Convening on English Learners' Civil Rights

The U.S. Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) and Office for Civil Rights (OCR) are hosting a virtual convening on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, 2023. The event will focus on statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to the civil rights of English learners and will highlight guidance and resources to ensure that state and local education agencies are equipped with tools to meet their obligations to English learner students and families. Please join us if you are interested and share this with your LEAs and stakeholders.
