In this workshop, you’ll hear about a proven four-step Diagnostic Review process designed for schools in need of comprehensive and targeted support. The session is an introduction to address specific school improvement priorities: to understand root causes for underperformance, determine improvement actions, and build capacity to champion meaningful change and effective continuous improvement. You’ll learn about school quality factors that have a direct impact on organizational effectiveness and student learning, and see the research-based tools used to gather stakeholder input and analyze evidence of student engagement. You'll engage with best practices to determine needs based on evidence, and view examples from school districts including Allendale County, Fleming County, Westminster Public Schools and others that have used this process to enact dramatic school improvement and turn their potential into practice.
