Jocelyn Núñez has over 7 years of experience working with students and families. She is a passionate advocate for the integration, advancement, and development of students in public education, especially in marginalized communities. Jocelyn has worked with diverse students, including migrant youth and families in Eastern Washington. With a background in social work, she aims to continue advocating for schools and community-based organizations. Jocelyn believes that when these entities partner, they can leverage resources to empower students and families, fostering social mobility.
Over 13 years of experience with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Specialized in bilingual education, supporting students whose first language is not English. Focus on equity and civil rights, ensuring all students have equal access to education and resources. Currently working in Title I, Part A, helping districts support students' academic achievement and well-being under the ESEA sections.
