Mark earned a Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. His certifications are in general science, special education, elementary education, and reading. He has extensive training in Wilson Language. During his twenty-three years in the public school system he was a teacher of a learning support program, an educational consultant, and Title I reading specialist, K-6. Two years of research and writing led to his book Super Spellers, with a forward by Dr. Richard Gentry.
