Jacquelyn Jackson Fleming

Jacquelyn Jackson Fleming, Ph.D. served as the former SASA Director and retired in 2006. Prior to joining the office, she was on assignment at New American Schools, where she was responsible for developing and piloting standards of quality for comprehensive school reform (CSR) models.

Dr. Jackson worked in the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, at USDE where she analyzed, monitored, and evaluated special education programs. She was also chosen to participate in Goals 2000 in a leadership capacity to help develop policy and guidance.
