Ombudsmen and ESEA Equitable Services: Building Partnerships Between SEAs, LEAs, and Private School Officials
This session will highlight key considerations in implementing equitable services provisions required under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act, including the new State ombudsman position. The session will include an opportunity for the audience to hear from two ombudsmen about their efforts to build partnerships with private schools to provide equitable services for federal investments. This session will feature staff from the U.S. Department of Education, State and local practitioners and subject matter experts from partner organizations.
