Office of School Turnaround: Sustainability of Effective Practice through Performance Management
Sustainability of Effective Practice through Performance Management
While many factors will contribute to the short and long term success of reform, one powerful influence is the performance management system that states and districts establish to ensure that the implementation of priority reforms is on track to meet priority goals. Performance management is a systematic approach to ensure quality and progress toward priority goals by methodically and routinely monitoring the connection between the work underway and the outcomes sought. This session will explore how states can leverage performance management routines to support stronger analysis of turnaround implementation and build district capacity to support effective turnaround practice.
This session will divide into four state-based discussion groups in the following rooms:
Group 1: Chinese Ballroom
Group 2: New York Room
Group 3: Rhode Island Room
Group 4: Virginia Room
