Speakers
Jennifer Burr

Dr. Burr currently works for Region 10 Education Service Center as a Data Solutions Consultant working with English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education programs across the state of Texas. Her 19 years of experience has provided her roles as a classroom teacher and coach, ESL Department Chair, Assistant Principal Intern, Secondary ESL Specialist, and ESL Coordinator. Her research interests focus on effective linguistic teaching practices to ensure content is accessible for all students and designing engaging teacher professional development. Dr. Burr is a guest lecturer at University of Texas at Dallas, providing linguistic strategies and coaching to pre-service secondary math and science teachers in the UTeach Program. She is a published author, presenter at national and international conferences, and current member of the International Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Public Policy Professional Council, serving as a congressional education policy advisor and advocate for students currently served in Bilingual and English programs across the United States.
