During our April subcommittee on Effective Title I Practices meeting, it was decided that the Association would survey Title I State Directors about the kinds of information states are collecting around their high performing/growth Title I schools or reward schools. The purpose of the survey is to see which states, if any, are collecting useful data around successful Title I schools that can be shared with the field. Secondarily, it is to see if there is a common tool being used for this collection.
- Does your state annually identify high performing/high growth Title I schools?
- What criteria does your state use to identify high performing/high growth Title I schools?
- Does your state identify the reasons or practices for why these identified schools are successful? If yes, what tools does the state use for this activity?
- Would your state be interested in piloting a methodology for digging into the reasons for the successes of your high growth/high performing Title I schools?
- Please identify your state.
