During our April subcommittee on Effective Title I Practices meeting, it was decided that the Association would survey Title I State Directors about the kinds of information states are collecting around their high performing/growth Title I schools or reward schools. The purpose of the survey is to see which states, if any, are collecting useful data around successful Title I schools that can be shared with the field. Secondarily, it is to see if there is a common tool being used for this collection.

1. Does your state annually identify high performing/high growth Title I schools?
2. What criteria does your state use to identify high performing/high growth Title I schools?
3. Does your state identify the reasons or practices for why these identified schools are successful? If yes, what tools does the state use for this activity?
4. Would your state be interested in piloting a methodology for digging into the reasons for the successes of your high growth/high performing Title I schools?
