Federal Update: New Policies and Potential Changes

This presentation will cover the latest in policy and statutory updates from Congress and the Biden administration. Attendees will hear generally about guidance and policy covering the Elementary and Secondary School Education Relief (ESSER) Fund, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, and progress on the upcoming regulations on Title IX gender identity and sexual assault and harassment. Attendees will also learn about legislation recently introduced in Congress, chances of passage, and how the debate on education policy is changing (and not) during the 117th Congress. Finally, significant court cases and opinions will be covered, including the ways they intersect with legislative priorities and administrative policy.
