Mapping the Road to Success: Designing Programs for Students Experiencing Homelessness

The McKinney-Vento Act charges schools with ensuring the educational access, stability, and success of students who experience homelessness. Funds through the American Rescue Plan, the McKinney-Vento Act, Title I, and other federal programs provide a map of possibilities and allowable activities, but plotting a path forward to effectively support students can be challenging. This session will focus on effective ways to solicit student and parent input, leading indicators as measures of student success, and resources for developing practical needs assessment that foster partnerships in schools and communities.
